Ok. So the trip was fantastic. The drive there and back was the only drawback. We left Krakow on Wednesday morning. Sun blazing. Good thing we had aircon in the car. In no time (4 hours to be exact) got to Warsaw. Patryk had some business there, so we got to hang around the parking lot with Agata for 2 hours. It was sooooo much fun... but I ain't gonna go into the details here.

the business version of Patryk

After a quick lunch, we went to visit Alicja, Daniel and the rest of the crowd at their work....[yeah, this is so exciting, but let's fast forward a bit]. That night party at Tomek's flat. Had a couple of beers, burned some meat, fun was had by all. Then the designated, sober driver went with Alicja to pick up Craig from the airport. Had a few more beers and a very ambitious plan, to wake up really early and leave Warsaw at 4 am.  Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha !!!

Daniel with a mop - party at Tom's

Ha ha ha ha ha ha !

So we left at 8:30.

Eventually got to the coast around 2pm. Quickly managed to find our campsite near Chałupy and Megasurf windsurfing school. We were quite desperate to get on the water and convinced our instructor to take us out for the first lesson at 4pm. A bit of a party followed that night, obviously.

The next 3 days were basically filled with windsurfing. It was great fun and we were quite lucky to have the perfect learning wind conditions. I don't think there's much sense in saying anything else here.... it was superb.

Here are some pictures that tell the story...

bullet2005-06-15 9:08 Hello and welcome to WWW2005 (Wielka Wyprawa Windsurfingowa). At this moment we (Agata, Patryk and I) are driving to Warsaw to pick up Alicja and Craig. It is a stunning Wednesday morning and a great start to this trip. We should be reaching Warsaw in about 3 hours. Spirits are high, although we are low on spirits. No worries though, cause we'll do some shopping in Warsaw. Probably gonna enjoy a few quiet beers tonight, and head through to Hel early tomorrow morning. I am going to install a gallery script just now and will try to upload some pics.
bullet2005-06-16 9:03 hmm... 9AM obviously seems like great time to update the web page. Installed a gallery script yesterday - all the pictures are being uploaded to http://www.canmanski.com/photo. I am uploading pictures as often as possible, although gonna put up only selected pictures, cause ain't gonna waste half of my holiday just to update the web page. Yesterday was fun - had a good drive up to Warsaw, then Patryk had a half-hour business meeting that lasted for 2 hours... but no stress. Went for a great pizza and then met up with Alicja, Daniel, Agnieszka and had a barbecue on Tomek's balcony. Fun was had by all and many beers were drunk. We were responsible enough to remember to fetch Craig from the airport, and some more beers followed. There was a plan that we leave for Hel at around 4AM, but somehow never managed to wake up on time. So we only left at 8:30am.... oh well, it's a holiday.
bullet2005-06-20 10:27 What a great trip. Ideal wind conditions - Thursday and Friday - very low winds, so that we could get used to the boards. On Saturday and Sunday it started to blow well. We had a great instructor - Bartek - and a big thanks to him. His instruction and tips while riding made a huge difference and I feel much more confident on a windsurfer now.
